Cosmo Coffee is at home in Sul de Minas, one of the best coffee regions in the world. Here, we combine 150 years of coffee experience at the family-owned Fazenda Ipiranga. In the production of our coffee, we are committed to people and the environment - surrounded by Brazilian flora and fauna.

Fazenda Ipiranga builds on 150 years coffee experience. In the early 1990s, when our family took over the prestigious coffee farm, it was known as one of the largest employers in the Guaranésia region. To further improve the agricultural practices and the coffee quality, we started to convert the traditional coffee plantation of Ipiranga into sustainable, ecological farming. It started with a simple passion for authentic coffee and the desire to provide a better future for our children. This evolved into Fazenda Ipiranga as we know it today, one of the most future-focused farms in Minas Gerais.

Origin

Fazenda Ipiranga is located in Sul de Minas in the south of the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais. Sul de Minas is one of the most important coffee regions in the world. About one third of Brazilian coffee comes from this area. The fields with Cosmo Coffee's plants stretch over a radius of 40 kilometres.

Direct Trade

The fairest way to buy coffee is through direct trade. Our family wants to pass on the result of this traditional way of production, care for the land and respect for people through direct relationships. We work for equity and for growth that brings well-being and opportunities for all.

Commitment

Our coffee production at Fazenda Ipiranga respects the people, their traditions and the natural resources - for coffee with a future. The farm is home to 50 modern houses, a school for children from the surrounding villages, and a soccer field - providing our employees and their families with a contemporary quality of life.

Coffee plants

At the Fazenda Ipiranga we grow Arabica coffee. Arabica is considered the coffee plant with the finest beans and the highest quality. To ensure that Cosmo Coffee can guarantee this high standards, we work with a selected partner right from the seedlings of our coffee plants - so we can guarantee the best aroma for our coffee right from the start.

Climate and location

The ideal conditions for growing coffee: The hills are gently rolling, the climate is pleasantly mild and the rains kiss the coffee trees with just the right amount of moisture to bring out the best in the beans. Sul de Minas lies at an average altitude of 950m and has a mild annual temperature of around 22 degrees.
